What is AquaFlex?

The range of Aquaflex tapes offers a complete, long term waterproofing system for corners and joints in bathrooms, showers, kitchens, facades, balconies and many other areas.

Building movement, from vibrations, temperature changes, or settling into foundations, often causes cracks in walls and floors of wet areas, leading to undesirable water leaks.

After installation in corners and joints, Aquaflex waterproofing tape can expand up to 170%, to prevent leaks even after these cracks appear.

The following images demonstrate the advantage of AquaFlex compared with the traditional method as outlined in the Master Builders manual. The floor of the model shown was lowered to simulate movement that occurs in building floors, with the traditional method the bond breaks, leaving the area without protection whilst Aquaflex expands to accommodate the movement leaving the area protected:
